A Berklee College of Music graduate, Alea has shared the stage with well-known and Grammy-award nominated/winning artists Mireya Ramos (Flor de Toloache), Smarty (Burkina Faso), Totó La Momposina, Nella Rojas (recent Latin Grammy winner for Best New Artist), Sergio Mendoza (Los Hijos de La Montaña y Orkesta Mendoza) and Gregorio Uribe.
Alea was also recognized in 2016 by The City of Boston for her contribution to Latin Music.
